A Birthday {Sleepover} fit for a Princess!

Sleepovers are a great way to help your little lady celebrate her birthday. Think back to when you were a kid – there was nothing better than staying up late, playing games, eating pizza and sharing stories with your best friends. And that’s just what we plan to do!

LMP is so excited! We’re planning a fun-filled, Disney princess themed sleepover for a little lady who’s turning 6! And what does she want?! Friends, fun, and lots of royal glam. And what have we got in store - nothing but the best for these little girls. LMP has been planning all week to help mom throw a sleepover her princess will never forget.

Check out some of our ideas.
Sweet treats, spa manicures, cupcakes and plenty of Disney princess décor!

Pink and white accents will help us prepare for this princess party. We'll use balloons and pom-poms to add a festive flair to the event.

And check out those adorable princess pj's!

Want to make your little one really feel like royalty?
Why not create a section at the party where they can be pampered with mani and pedi's? A great idea for any little girl who wants to feel special on her big day.

LMP can't wait to help this little princess celebrate!
We'll be sure to share the images from the royal sleepover.

Creative Ideas: Unique Guest Books

Long gone are the days of the traditional guest book. And although they still serve the same purpose (helping the host keep track of guests in order to send thank you notes, or serving as a reminder of those who attended), many are opting for a unique and creative way to gather info. from their attendees.

Traditionally, a guest book has a hard cover with several pages. Each of these pages contains several lines on which guests can sign their names. In some cases, the guest book may also include a space for contact information. But who wants to do things the traditional way anymore? Why not let your guests express their artistic side by allowing them get a little creative?

Have a souvenir or a hobby? Guests can share their well wishes with you by writing them on your favorite item. Or how about using a wishing tree as a guest book for a baby shower instead? Having a graduation party - use pieces of fabric that can be sewn together to make an inspirational quilt!

Check out these creative guest books that will surprise your guests, and add a little artistic flair to your event! Plus, they’ll serve as keepsakes you'll want to show off all the time.

Puzzle pieces anyone? We love this idea!
It's a great way to entertain your guests until the reception begins.

Having your guests leave their thumb print and signature will give you a beautiful piece of artwork to display. Instead of storing a traditional book, you can frame this finished piece and enjoy it for years to come.

We also love the idea of adding bright, bold colors! This unique guest book also uses the idea of thumb prints – it’s quirky, cute and very creative! A great idea for a children's birthday party.

There are hundreds of ways to add a creative touch to an old tradition.
And what better way to show off your creative ideas than at a Halloween party? Up next, LMP will show you how to throw an awesome Halloween bash...
It'll be un-BOO-lievable!

We're also preparing for a Princess themed sleepover.
Stay tuned for our ideas for the royal event!

See you then,

Introducing Jayce Patrick!

Remember that little party animal we wrote about a few months ago? Well, he has arrived...and he’s oh so adorable!

In a previous blog, we talked about planning a cute, jungle-themed baby shower – one decorated with bright colors, lots of friends and tons of gifts - Jayce is definitely one lucky kid. And now that he's here, we wanted to share a few pictures of this handsome little man.

LMP is happy to welcome Jayce, and congratulate his parents!
Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!

Planning this baby shower was quite exciting, not only for LMP, but for Jayce's mom. It's a time in her life where she can share one of the most important, exciting milestones with her family and friends. We wanted to make sure we kept the shower enjoyable for everyone - light refreshments were served, games were played, favors were distributed and laughter was abduntant. It was such a pleasure planning this event.

Check out a few pics from the baby shower. Although he wasn’t there to see it, we’re sure Jayce would have approved. Enjoy.

Like the decor? All designs, are by LMP!

Wishing Jayce and his family all the best,

the {Modern} Bride: Planning a Beach Wedding

Recently we were asked how we 'feel' about beach weddings – our response, we love them! If done the right way, beach weddings offer couples a sensible, yet elegant solution to the expense and headache normally associated with a traditional wedding. Typically, a beach wedding is easier to plan, cheaper to pay for and a lot more fun - for everyone. And while a beach wedding isn't for every couple, (most notably the bride who wants to dress up like a princess), the idea is something to consider. A beautiful sunset, a flawless shoreline and beautiful weather, what’s not to love?

Think a wedding by the water is the route you want to take? There are a few important elements you must consider when planning a wedding on the beach:

Consider the time of day. Many brides dream of having a beach wedding just as the sun sets. Sunset is an excellent time for the ceremony, most beachgoers have already gone home, giving you more privacy and your photos will be stunning! Morning ceremonies are wonderful as well.

Consider renting a large beach house. The bride and groom as well as the wedding party can stay in the house during the week/weekend of the wedding. This will allow you to save money on hotel rentals which could add up to the amount that it costs to rent the beach house. And, as an additional money saver, you can have the ceremony and reception in one location.

The weather can be either an asset or a hindrance for any beach wedding. It may be windy - or it could be rain. Consider renting a canopy (if it isn't too windy) or providing beach umbrellas, at least for elderly guests.

Consider where guests will have to park, and how far they'll have to walk. Walking on sand may be difficult for the elderly or those with health or mobility issues. Consider renting a golf cart to transport guests if they'll be walking a far distance.

Every wedding needs music. However, music at the beach can be a challenge. There may not be access to electricity so plan on using live music for the ceremony. If you plan to have the reception on the beach, you may need to use live music as well.

Many couples who opt for a beach ceremony still opt for an indoor reception - but it is possible to have an outdoor wedding reception too. Don't think so? Check out these beautiful beach ceremonies and outdoor receptions - we're sure you'll change your mind.
