Lovely Little Ladybug

On Monday we received an email from a mother who needed help planning her daughter’s 2nd birthday party. She wanted something unique, while at the same time still age appropriate. Our first thought? A princess theme –- who doesn’t love to see a little girl all dolled up? But it was a theme we at LMP were all too familiar with, and we wanted to give this excited mom our best ideas.

So after careful consideration, a quick trip through our archived photos, and in keeping with the Spring season, we decided on a Lovely Little Ladybug theme – what could be cuter? This theme offers bold colors and adorable patterns, perfect for a two-year-old!

And we love the inspiration, from the invitation to the party favors!

Egg-cellent Easter Tablescapes!

What’s on your agenda for Easter this year? Will you be hosting this year’s dinner?
If so, don’t let your dining room table go unnoticed. While the kiddies are off decorating their eggs, why not have a little decorating fun of your own? Try these helpful, inexpensive tips:

--Bring out the china – this will add a little personality and a pop of color to your table. Don’t have fancy china? Check out your local dollar or thrift store for inexpensive dishware and accessories.
Or, consider using colorful, seasonal paper plates.

--Have your own garden? Clip those beautiful flowers from your backyard and thrown them in a vase for an instant Easter floral arrangement. And even better, it’s free!

--Throw some colorful Easter candy or other snacks in a beautiful glass bowl.
It’s great for décor and gives guests a little something to snack on until dinner is served.

Happy Birthday Monique!

A few weeks ago we posted our ideas for Monique’s 25th Birthday -- an event that would call for fun, friends and great food. Well, we decorated and celebrated -- and now we’re showing you the results of all our hard work.

On Saturday, we helped Monique celebrate her birthday at the historic Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. Opened in 1905, the restaurant is known for its beautiful architecture, themed dining rooms and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine.

Guests entering the Mezzanine Dining Room were met with white linens, silver platters, soft candles, and accents of teal, green and tiffany blue. Sophisticated and elegant – just as Monique requested.

The ambiance of the dining room, in combination with our sophisticated décor, served as the back drop to this elegant birthday dinner party. Guests ate, laughed and drank throughout the evening -- they even nibbled on sweet treats just before departing for the remainder of the night's birthday festivities.

We're so happy Monqiue chose us to help her celebrate.
We hope she enjoyed her birthday as much as we enjoyed planning it.
