CREATIVE IDEAS: SOMETHING BLUE

Every bride knows the saying:

something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

And while the mother or grandmother of the bride is likely to supply most of the items needed to fulfill the requirements of this age-old wedding tradition, many brides have a hard time finding that "something blue".

Well...that’s where we come in. Because we at LMP know a boring blue garter will cut it no more, we’ve found a fun and stylish way for bride’s to incorporate that special blue something on their big day.

Whether you’re a bride who wants to make a big, bold statement or one who prefers something that’s soft and subtle -- take a look at how these beautiful blue embellishments can add a little extra flair to an old tradition.

You’ll love these modern veils and gorgeous hair accessories -- the perfect "something blue" addition to any wedding day.

CUSTOM WEDDING CAKE TOPPERS

One of the most unique and creative ways to personalize your wedding day is with a custom wedding cake topper. And depending on the design of your cake, almost anything goes. But one of our absolute favorite ideas for custom cake toppers -- one that adds a little extra personality, are those designed by Sarah Neuburger of The Small Object.

The Small Object's line of collectible wooden keepsakes, rubber stamps and handmade gifts are full of unique characters and drawings and are rather kawaii (that means "cute" in Japanese), despite their Southern roots. With these wooden creations, Sarah found a unique (and very adorable) way of providing couples with a great keepsake for their wedding day. According to Sarah, the pieces can be created in any number of ways. She can customize pets, bouquets, wedding gowns and tuxedos and much more -- for Sarah, the more unique the better!

Be sure to visit her Etsy shop. You’ll love all the detail she puts into these incredible figurines! For more samples of Sarah’s work, check out her Flickr album. She's created over 300 custom cake toppers! They’re all so amazing -- we had a tough time deciding which toppers we wanted to feature!
