SWAP 'TIL YOU DROP

You know the old saying...one woman's trash is another woman's treasure? Well, this weekend, after a few weeks of planning, I put that old saying to the test when I hosted a Paris themed swap party at my place.

Because I knew my friends (and myself included) had tons of items sitting in their closets (purses, jewelry, shoes, clothes, wallets, beauty products, etc.) they no longer use or wore, I asked if they would graciously donate them to me for a swap party. I mean think about it, just because you no longer use or want those items, it doesn’t mean someone else won’t want them either. And besides, what could be better than shopping in your friend's closet?

So, instead of throwing out those perfectly good items, I gathered them up for the Day in Paris, Swap ‘til You Drop event. And what a success! We ate, drank and swapped the entire night...we were even able to get in a few rounds of Taboo! It truly turned out to be an amazing event.

I would like to thank all of the ladies who participated and helped make the swap party a success. It’s because of you I was able to pull it off.

SWAP 'TIL YOU DROP

In preparation for our upcoming A Day in Paris, Swap ‘til You Drop event, we’ve put together a fabulous inspiration board.

Filled with ideas for our swap party, we’ve decided to use different shades of pink (our absolute favorite color), and a black damask print to add a little elegance to the décor. We also love the idea of pairing black and white polka dots for a little extra fun.

But what’s a Swap ‘til you Drop event you ask? Well, there’s the idea.

As ladies, most of us have a few items sitting in our closet (purses, jewelry, shoes, wallets, blouses, scarves, etc.) we no longer use. And well, just because you no longer use or want them, doesn’t mean someone else won’t want them either. You know the old saying -- one woman's trash is another woman's treasure. So instead of throwing out those perfectly good items, why not swap them for other fabulous items? We know there's nothing better than shopping in your friend's closet; with a glass of champagne and delicious hors d'oeuvres in hand of course.

Those who have donated their items will attend the event, meet some fabulous women, have cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and then swap, not shop (cause it’s free) for items others have donated. Cool huh?! We think so too!

MJ'S WINTER ONE-DERLAND!

Last month we planned a One-derland celebration for a little girl named MJ who was celebrating her first birthday. Well, we're long overdue -- but here we are, finally sharing the photos from her adorable celebration.

Taking advantage of her December 28th birth date, we used winter as the theme; decorating with snowflakes, pink and silver ornaments and a gorgeous white "snowball" fabric table cloth.

The tiny guests even got a chance to make their own snow!

WONDERFUL WINTER ONE-DERLAND

LMP's preparing to celebrate the first birthday of one of the cutest AND spunkiest little girls we know. Filled with tons of personality, this adorable little lady will celebrate her big day in style. We've got tons of great ideas in store for this December birthday celebration.

Our theme -- a Wonderful Winter One-derland!

In keeping with this time of year, we wanted to use a winter theme, one that was festive for the holiday season, but not so “Christmas-y”. So instead of the traditional red and green, we’ve decided to use various shades of pink with accents of silver and white...the perfect combo for our One-derland party.

BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY BRIDAL SHOWER

Sunday proved to be a great day to celebrate the upcoming marriage of a beautiful, charismatic bride and her seemingly shy groom.

Arriving early to begin our day of decorating and celebrating, we designed this modern bridal shower with the colors of the couple’s November wedding -- using various shades of turquoise, chocolate brown and accents of cream and silver.

The shower was held in a charming clubhouse, intimately filled with some of the couple's closest family and friends. We set up several vignettes throughout -- including a cozy seating area, gift station, a personalized advice bar, and of course, the main décor and candy buffet table.

Notes from the Planners: Throughout the planning process, we worked with a group of amazing bridesmaids to produce an elegant event we knew the couple would love. And because we wanted to make sure each item was personalized for the happy couple, we spent a lot of time on DIY projects for this bridal shower -- everything from the ‘shades of turquoise mobile chandelier' to the framed monograms. And of course, we also made sure we incorporated our signature designer initials…a staple in all of LMP's events.
